St. Anne School, an independent Catholic School in Laguna Niguel, is seeking an exceptional part-time nurse to join our community. We are looking for a talented, energetic, hard-working, team player to join our strong faculty.
Acts as a role model of professionalism in a Catholic environment.
Supports the philosophy, policies, and goals of the school, as well as the decisions made by the Board of Directors and Administrators.
Insures the health, safety, and welfare of all students.
Holds in strict confidence all matters pertaining to the school.
Adheres to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook and Employee Handbook.
Attends faculty and administrative meetings as needed.
Administer nursing care to ill and injured students and staff in accordance with the California Nurse Practice Act.
Administer and document the administration of over-the-counter medications as approved by parental permission on school-approved forms.
Administer prescribed medications to children requiring them: verifying dosage, patient, route, and indication. Monitor for side effects. Document administration of all medication. (Scheduled and as needed).
Administer nebulizer treatments to students with asthma.
Check blood sugars, treat and administer insulin to diabetic students.
Document all illnesses, injuries and interventions providing a copy for parents and school records.
E-mail or call parents regarding student visits when appropriate.
Serve as a resource for teachers and administration on health and illness issues.
Administer TB questionnaire to all new employees and volunteers.

Environment: Work is performed primarily in a standard office setting.
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
Hours: Twelve-month, Non-exempt Part-time. 12-16 hours/week Monday-Thursday during the school year. 40 hours/week during summer Monday-Friday, 8-4pm (June - August).
