The Walker School is a nonsectarian, co-educational independent day school serving three year olds through twelfth grade students in Marietta, Georgia. Walker seeks an energetic and dedicated individual for an Upper School Visual Arts teaching position beginning with the 2018-2019 school year. The ideal candidate will be capable of teaching across multiple media including drawing, painting, sculpture, and ceramics. The teaching load is five sections that range from Foundations of Art to AP Studio Art, along with grade level advising. Preference will be given to candidates interested in contributing to the full life of the school through sponsoring student organizations, coaching, and/or building relationships within the local art community.
While a Master’s degree is not required, advanced course work and teaching experience are preferred. Salary is based on degrees earned and years of experience and is commensurate with other independent schools in the area.
