Position summary: To work under the direction of the Director of Athletics to manage logistics associated with successful athletic department operations including but not limited to facility and event setup/ management, school hospitality, equipment management, and athletic website data.
Acquire full knowledge of STAB athletic venues. This includes knowledge of keys for athletic doors, fobs, risk management procedures, facility floor plans, EAP’s, etc….
Conduct daily/weekly facility checks to identify maintenance needs and create/complete facility checklists pertaining to each facility. Track all athletic facility maintenance requests to ensure completion.
Make sure all game equipment is operational (i.e. scoreboards, sound systems, lighting fixtures, sport specific equipment such as goals, nets, game balls, etc…)
Create, manage, and distribute practice schedules to all coaches seasonally
Work with coaches and Athletic Administration to adjust practice plans in cases of inclement weather. Communicate alternate plans and changes to coaches and athletic department members proactively.
Manage Rental requests for all athletic facilities, coordinate site supervisors for rentals when necessary, and oversee rental requirements in coordination with Pat Kearns in business office.
Assign, manage, and collect athletic facility keys and fobs in coordination with the Director of Athletics and the Director of Security. Send facility entry schedule to Director of Security seasonally to ensure doors are unlocked for games and other needs.
Create a schedule for athletic facility maintenance in coordination with the Director of Athletics, Facility Manager, and coaches.
Perform routine maintenance on turf fields, natural grass field, baseball field, and softball field.
Handle all facility reservations for coaches and athletic staff. Fill out a reservation form for all non-athletic facility requests from coaches.
Serve as department liaison for athletic facility improvement or usage.
Game Day Preparation
Field and facility prep: Line all lacrosse, soccer, softball, and baseball fields for competition; oversee the necessary details for setting up for all home athletic events such as proper field markings, goals, nets, scoreboards, bleachers, and any other items required for a particular sport. Ensure all facilities are aesthetically pleasing and ready for competition on game days.
Manage game day signage and other facility identification.
Provide all visiting teams with hospitality information in advance, including field location, restroom locations, bus parking, locker room locations, etc…
Gather and designate CCC locker room needs for opposing schools; communicate plans and post signs accordingly.
Greet opponents within CCC and on fields to show locker rooms, restrooms, and playing locations when out of season, if applicable.
Point person for equipment needs for each program. Distribute, collect, itemize and store inventory. Manage effective communication with coaches throughout season on equipment issues. Communicate order needs seasonally to Athletic Director.
Ensure all equipment is marked and maintained throughout season. Do minor upkeep on equipment when returned and dispose of any un-functional equipment.
Communicate seasonal needs to Athletic Director in advance of start date.
Routinely serve as site supervisor for established athletic contests.
Ability to work in a fast pace environment with a lot of distractions
Ability to manage working relationships with a wide group of people to ensure tasks are accomplished.

Extensive knowledge of athletic facility operation.
Extensive experience with Microsoft office.

Personable, great communication skills, ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, coaches, students, and parents
Ability to work some late evenings and Saturdays.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and handle long periods of standing or sitting.
Education and experience:
Previous facility experience in a school, community athletic organization, or college program
Master’s Degree in Sports Administration, Business Administration, or Sports management;
2 years of experience as a coach/ member of athletic department in an independent school setting.
