San Diego Jewish Academy, an independent college prep K-12 school, is seeking an experienced Physical Education teacher for K-5 students. The position is 83% FTE (full-time equivalency). PE teacher will teach grades K-5 physical education. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, planning and running our annual Sports Day, weekly after-school sports enrichment activities, recess supervision, etc. Read on for more details and application instructions:

WE’RE LOOKING FOR…
2+ years of PE teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level.
Strong classroom management skills that allows you to form supportive relationships with students that show deep sense of caring, while also creating a safe, responsible, respectful and disciplined PE environment
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to form trust quickly with parents, students and colleagues
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, inclusive of empathy for others, thoughtful listening, team-orientation.
An ability to plan and execute school-wide events.
