Purpose: The Admissions Counselor supports and manages the admissions process. This position must plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate will exhibit outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills in dealing with the internal community as well as external markets. A broad working knowledge of data management and current technology is desirable. The job requires personal discretion and professional judgment.
Responsibilities: This person works closely with the Director of Admissions and Division Heads on a daily basis to help manage the Admissions program which includes events (Open Houses), class room visits and Take-A-Looks. The Assistant oversees the Tour Program and student interns.
Overview: The charge to the Chase Admissions Office is to plan, execute and assess all activity related to management of inquiries, applications and enrolled students, as well as community outreach. The Office is also responsible for re-enrollment activity of current/returning students.
General Office Management & Support Duties
Develop a thorough understanding of the school’s philosophy, programs, curriculum and policies with special attention to admissions/financial aid.
Assist in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive outreach program to prospective families including events and mailing calendar.
Represent Chase to students/parents during visits, including tours, interviews, classroom visits, etc.
Answer and facilitate incoming telephone calls from prospective families.
Sort and process incoming/outgoing e-mail and mail on a daily basis.
Maintain inventory of office supplies. Order stationery and master supplies on an annual basis.
Manage and prepare application materials for review to appropriate Division(s).
Input and verify data in Veracross, word process and manage excel spreadsheets as required.
Coordinate/prepare materials needed for committee meetings and events.
Travel to represent school at fairs as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Events & Programs
Assist in planning and coordination of events. Assignments include but are not limited to coordination of RSVP lists, helping to prepare event materials and logistics, coordinate volunteer parent participation and process related follow up. Events include, but are not limited to:

Utilize Database to:
Input data related to inquiries, applications, enrolled and re-enrolled students.
Request output for all mailings including invitations, events, publications and outreach to targeted constituents.
Perform queries and generate reports.
Coordinate the ongoing development and maintenance of the Admissions web pages.
Organize and manage digital photography for day-to-day use in advertisements, invitations, publications, and web site.
To perform the job successfully, the candidate must possess the following competencies:

Excellent interpersonal, as well as verbal and written communication skills
A Bachelor’s Degree is required. 2-5 years of work experience in a similar role is preferred.
