Overall Responsibility for all PAISBOA consortia and related programs:
PAISBOA Purchasing Consortium
PAISBOA Energy Purchasing Program
PAISBOA Business Insurance Group
Business Services Program
Corporate Sponsorship Program
Serve as the staff liaison for the PAISBOA Services Corporation Board of Directors, the Energy Purchasing Group Steering Committee, the Business Insurance Group Steering Committee, and other boards and committees as assigned.
Act as the expert for all aspects of PAISBOA’s group purchasing and vendor relationships including products and services provided by all vendors.
Build positive relationships with vendors, school personnel, affinity groups, etc.
Take the lead in sourcing, reviewing unsolicited vendor inquires, and negotiating all new PAISBOA vendor contracts.
Maintain current Vendor contracts including re-negotiation existing contracts, analysis of vendor viability, and management of the associated files.
Create and manage the Vendor database ensuring accuracy of data and reports generated, including but not limited to quarterly board dashboard, contract status, school invoices, vendor invoices, and school savings reports.
Monitor vendor volume reporting on a quarterly basis, including follow-up of any outstanding reports or vendor payments.
Meet regularly with existing vendors to conduct contract reviews and updates.
Continually review consortia and vendor information on PAISBOA website to ensure the most current information is provided.
Identify marketing opportunities for vendor contracts through, but not limited to, live events, newsletter content, blog, webinars, and social media.
Lead the outreach to members and potential members in detailing the value of group purchasing, and gain additional insight to potential areas for expansion.
Travel in support of outreach meeting with individual schools and coordination of meetings with groups of schools.
Coordinate with other local, regional and national associations to promote PAISBOA programs and provide additional value opportunities for the association and respective members.
Create and distribute quarterly Consortia Newsletter and provide content for the PAISBOA Friday Flyer.
Bachelor’s degree required; a certificate in purchasing/procurement or MBA is preferred.
Five (5) years of relevant work experience in purchasing, insurance, or related business field.
Specific knowledge of principles and practices of professional purchasing, including value analysis, request for proposal process, and techniques in writing specifications and contracts.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, attending to detail and accuracy.
Translate opportunities into action items and possess strategic thinking ability, solid relationship management skills, and strong communication skills.
Able to work both individually and in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task to ensure timely completion of multiple projects from a variety of sources.
Effective negotiation skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Exceptional discretion and ability to maintain confidential information.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills are imperative.
Professional demeanor that achieves a positive image for the association.
Expert in software applications including: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Social Media, as well as database management/reporting software.
Occasional out of town overnight travel is expected.
Must be comfortable working in a remote/virtual setting.
