Sidwell Friends, an independent co-educational Quaker day school with campuses in Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD, seeks an Executive Assistant to the Assistant Head of School for Finance and Operations. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for managing projects that support a variety of financial, operational, and strategic planning initiatives. In addition, this position has the routine responsibilities of liaising with trustees, senior administrators, School employees and external constituencies, while performing a number of administrative duties. This individual must have the ability to perform with the utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
A bachelor’s degree and prior experience as an executive assistant to a senior executive are required. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent written and oral communication skills; research, analytical and interpersonal skills; problem solving abilities; a commitment to deadlines; the ability to work efficiently and quickly under pressure; and the ability to work with minimal supervision and follow through-on assignments. Advanced computer skills (MS Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) are also a key requirement for this role.
