Notre Dame Preparatory School, a Catholic, independent school for girls in grades 6-12 in Towson, is seeking a Director of Advancement to lead its fundraising and alumnae relations activities. There are more than 6,000 living alumnae, and the school’s current endowment is $20.9 million. The right candidate will enjoy working in a mission-driven, religious educational setting. Reporting to the Headmistress, the Director of Advancement is responsible for developing and managing all Advancement activities, including, but are not limited to, supervising full-and part-time staff of nine, manage annual giving programs, securing major and planned gifts, ensuring successful fundraising events and sponsor relationships, igniting national constituent engagement and liaising with Headmistress and Board Advisory Committee to establish long- and short-term fundraising plans.
Develop and manage fund development activities, including annual giving, restricted and unrestricted giving and planned giving
Coordinate/direct activity of constituent affinity groups, such as the Alumnae Association, Parents’ Association, Booster Club, Friends of the Arts, and other school organizations
Manage a portfolio of individuals and request leadership gifts for the school
Oversee the development and implementation of alumnae and constituent programs, including publicity and entertainment functions
Establish marketing programs that support development activities and constituent engagement
Attend and present accordingly at Board of Trustees meetings
Accurately maintain constituent files and contribution records, and provide regular reports to the Headmistress, Board of Trustees, and Board Advancement Committee
Staff and oversee ongoing research activities to enhance and expand the school’s donor base • Manage the research and application process of requesting charitable contributions from established corporate and family foundations
Supervise Advancement Office staff members
Serve on the school’s Headmistress’ Council in support of the overall vision for Notre Dame Preparatory School.

proven record of accomplishment requesting major and planned gifts, managing annual giving programs, planning fundraising events and galas, and writing grant proposals;
outstanding management skills of a staff of nine individuals;

technology skills as they relate to the position; experience utilizing contact management systems and Microsoft and Adobe programs strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree required; CFRE and master’s degree is helpful.
