Mission College Preparatory Catholic High School is a diocesan secondary school located in San Luis Obispo, CA and serves 310 students. MCP math teachers use a variety of techniques in the classroom. MCP seeks an experienced classroom teacher who has a background in curricular and pedagogical innovation and who is able to use differentiated instruction. Responsibilities for this position include collaboration and full participation in a math department to ensure excellent scope and sequence, as well as participation in a professional, Catholic school-wide learning community.
The ideal candidate would have a teaching credential in mathematics or a Master’s degree in mathematics. S/he would have experience teaching a variety of math classes at the high school level, including but not limited to AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Geometry, Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus, and Algebra I and II. The candidate will have a demonstrated ability to communicate mathematical knowledge in a variety of ways. The ideal candidate will have experience using technology in the classroom and be interested in incorporating new technologies into their classes.

Mission College Prep is a Catholic college preparatory high school for young men and women in the Diocese of Monterey. We are located on the central coast of California in the town of San Luis Obispo, which is mid-way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Approximately half of our 312 students come from three area Catholic grammar schools, while our other students come from 26 other schools locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
