Perkins School for the Blind, located near Boston, was the first school for the blind chartered in the United States in 1829. The Associate Director of Admissions and Marketing is responsible for increasing awareness, referrals, student visits, and enrollment for Perkins’ on-campus school and College Success programs. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, creative and collaborative individual, committed to the creation, implementation, and refinement of key aspects of the admission program and underlying processes.
Works closely with the Director of Admissions on inbound, outbound and on-campus applicant recruitment, relationship building and admission efforts. This includes:
Works with Admissions and College Success teams to read applicant files, develop fact sheets, interview and tour students and families, and work with staff to determine each applicant’s eligibility for admission
Works directly as liaison with Marketing staff on admission/recruitment-related development of ads, webinars, conference, events, and marketing material and other social media opportunities.
Travels to key states and events to develop relationships with Vocational Rehab counselors and other key contacts to support funding opportunities
Helps to support, analyze and enhance all pipeline activity, especially as it relates to College Success marketing
Works with admission team and faculty to continue to enhance and streamline the overall admission experience for visitors to Perkins
Works on the recruitment and implementation of Perkins’ on-campus International admission program, including assisting in the development of targeted marketing efforts, and applicant policies and procedures for accepted students
Additional activities includes
Collaborates and contributes to Salesforce activity in terms of input, analysis and follow-up of inquiries, referrals and acceptances
Coordinates marketing efforts with other team members to increase inquiries for the Perkins’ Independent Evaluations
Works with Director of Admission and Director of College Success to evaluate and participate in marketing and social media opportunities including speaking engagements, trade shows and conferences, webinars, and blogs.

At least three years experience in a private school admission department as an associate or assistant; preferred;
2+ years experience in marketing communications as it relates to admissions or private school related work.
