St. Paul Academy and Summit school seeks candidates for a Director of the Center for Learning and Teaching. This is a full time, 12 month administrative position. The CLT Director is responsible for articulating and aligning our Learning Support policies Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade and for collaborating effectively with the Leaders in each division.
This administrative Leader will join our dynamic, thriving program to incorporate recommendations from our recent ISACS self-study and to further develop the vision of our K-12 Learning Support program. The Director provides primary oversight of the tutoring and academic coaching program; successful candidates will have experience mentoring Learning Specialists, literacy support specialists and math resource specialists. Additionally, the Director serves as the primary Learning Specialist in the Upper School (grades 9-12) overseeing the direct development and implementation of Learning Plans in that division.
The Director should be comfortable in all aspects of student academic support including direct support to individual and small groups of students, literacy development, and math resource support. They should have a keen interest in all aspects of learning including Neurodiversity, classroom applications based on research in cognitive development, executive functioning, ADHD, and learning differences.

Successful candidates will have these preferred qualifications:
Educational Specialist, Master’s or Doctoral Degree, with emphasis in neuropsychology and/or cognitive development and learning differences.
Substantial coursework or comparable experience in learning disabilities, reading instruction for grades K-8, and math instruction for grades K-8.
Ability to establish rapport with all kinds of learners
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience with assistive technology
Successful experience in program management and supervision
Experience with Fountas& Pinnell Literacy program and Math in Focus preferred
Experience mentoring and working in consultative collaboration with adults
Experience working in Independent and K-12 School settings
