University Liggett School seeks a full-time Middle School Mandarin Chinese Teacher. The position is responsible for teaching four to five sections, potentially including one section of Upper School Introductory Chinese. The position will also participate in advising, coaching, and extra-curricular supervision as appropriate.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Mandarin Chinese or foreign language instruction, a minimum of three years of relevant classroom experience, including work at the middle level and a commitment to progressive, dynamic student-centered teaching. Attention to detail, a sense of humor, patience, flexibility, and excellent oral and written skills are strongly desired.
