The Williston Northampton School, an independent co-educational boarding and day school in Easthampton, Massachusetts, is a culturally diverse educational community of approximately 500 students in grades 7-12. We are seeking to hire a full time, full benefit visual arts teacher with the position starting in the fall of 2018. Strong candidates will have prior teaching experience, and since this position includes teaching digital art, preference will be given to those candidates with knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Desired qualities include the delivery of engaging, student centered lessons and maintaining an organized classroom and studio environment. An advanced degree is preferred but not required.
This position will include involvement with our afternoon extracurricular program as well as advising. This position could also include residential responsibilities, but living on campus is not a requirement. Driving a school mini-bus is also an expectation of this position. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license; must have the ability to work in a school environment by successful completion of all legally required and school required background checks including the state mandated CORI, Criminal Offender Record Information, and SORI, Sex Offender Record Information, and Fingerprint based criminal background check.
