Francis W. Parker School is a renowned JK-12th grade independent day school. We are currently seeking a Development Intern to assist team leadership with essential development functions. This includes, but is not limited to creating development collateral, interacting directly with existing or prospective donors and conducting important research for data collection. This position will have the opportunity to learn from professionals with expertise in fundraising, marketing, and communications. This position is integral to achieving established goals for the set time-frame and provides the opportunity for an emerging professional to make a real difference in the lives of others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Development Team with:
Drafting and editing creative and compelling donor communications
Facilitating outreach to prospective and existing donors via phone and/or e-communications
Special event planning
Researching and recording critical donor and alumni data for analysis
Other duties as assigned
Work Schedule/Time Commitment:
Flexible schedule with the ability to work anytime from 8:00am – 5:00pm
30 - 40 hours/week, for ten (10) weeks.

Bachelor’s degree (or working towards completing bachelor’s degree)
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and other Microsoft products
Experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred
Some experience working in an office setting preferred
Ability to handle multiple assignments with minimum supervision while meeting strict deadlines
Excellent writing skills; detail oriented and accurate
Desire to learn more about development and fundraising
Additional Salary Information: This is a paid internship. The rate of compensation is $12-14/hour, depending on experience.
