Position Summary The Chestnut Hill School is searching for a Pre-Kindergarten Associate Teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. The Pre-Kindergarten Associate Teacher is responsible for assisting the Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teachers in planning, implementing, and assessing the Pre-Kindergarten program utilizing current best practices in early childhood education; working with lead teachers to communicate with families about students’ progress; promoting equity and diversity; and supporting the mission of the school.
The ideal Pre-Kindergarten Associate Teacher will have at minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field; experience working with children of this age group and an understanding of their developmental milestones; a proven ability to collaborate effectively; a commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment; excellent verbal and written communication skills; a joyful spirit encouraging compassion, patience, and caring; and the ability to reflect on their own teaching to adapt lessons to meet different abilities and interests.
