St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, a vibrant and diverse PK3-12 independent, college preparatory day school, is seeking a dynamic, team-oriented, and forward-thinking admission professional to serve as Assistant Director of Admission.
Founded in 1947 and serving more than 1150 students, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School has two campuses: the Lower School located in Jackson, the capital city of Mississippi, and the Upper and Middle Schools located on a spacious 75-acre campus five minutes away in the suburb of Ridgeland. St. Andrew's boasts nationally recognized programs in global studies and speech and debate, 39 of the 47 State AP Scholars from Mississippi, the top-ranked athletic program in the state for schools its size (for 17 straight years), and an impressive record with college admissions and placement – both within Mississippi and at the most competitive schools in the nation.
Serving on the school's Admission Team and reporting directly to the Director of Admission and Financial Aid, the Assistant Director of Admission’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
Collaborate in larger school-wide strategic design and implementation of the plans to attract, admit, yield, and retain a talented, motivated, and diverse student body well suited for success at St. Andrew's;
Engage with prospective families in person, on the telephone, and in written communication in efforts to increase each family’s connectivity with the school to increase inquiries, visits, applications, and enrollment;
Contribute to all aspects of the admission process, including communications, testing, visits, tours, and admission committees;
Help ensure that the admission and financial aid processes are efficient, positive, and family- friendly;
Maintain relevant statistics on all aspects of admission, re-enrollment, and financial aid and report on such matters to school constituencies as appropriate;
Support special events as recruitment and retention tools;
Demonstrate ease and facility with various assessment instruments used to help evaluate applicants;
Stay current on trends in independent school admission, financial aid, and retention, including economic and demographic shifts that could impact admission and enrollment;
Articulate the school's curriculum, educational approach, and value-added proposition locally, nationally, and internationally to drive admission interest in the school;
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admission and Financial Aid.

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree;
An awareness of and experience with effective admission and recruitment models;
An understanding of and ability to develop genuine connections and relationships with families;
An interest in and appreciation for the importance of data-based decision-making, as well as a desire to grow in this area;
Share an infectious enthusiasm for St. Andrew’s and be poised for working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where innovation, resourcefulness, and new ideas are prized;
Experience working with Microsoft Office products and Blackbaud;
Ability to contribute to a team and collaborate effectively.
This is a full-time, twelve-month position, with salary dependent about experience and qualifications and with professional development opportunities available. Some travel and weekend and evening work may be required. The position is open immediately, but the start date negotiable.
