St. David’s School seeks a collaborative, enthusiastic, and flexible Librarian who will work closely with the Director of Libraries to provide library service to the school. While the majority of this position’s time will be spent in our beautiful new middle/upper school library, the librarian will have primary responsibility, on a flex schedule, for library service to the Pre-K through 4th grade community and will oversee the lower school library’s collection. The librarian will collaborate closely with lower school faculty, teaching information and digital literacy skills and developing programming to promote the love of reading.
Experience teaching lower school children, knowledge of children’s literature, and library experience are required. Expertise with online databases, electronic resources, and instructional technologies are also necessary. An MLS degree is preferred.
