Forsyth School is seeking a highly skilled collaborator and elementary school educator to join a teaching partnership in our Junior-Kindergarten (4/5 year old) classroom as a lead teacher. This teacher will provide developmentally appropriate and joyful learning experiences. An understanding of child development and ability to meet the social emotional needs of four and five-year old children is essential. Candidates must have the capacity to work as a highly functioning team member.

Collaborate and team teach with colleagues on grade level as well as serve as a JrK curriculum liaison during PreK – Grade 6 curricular conversations

Reports to the Lower Division Director
A love of elementary children and early childhood education
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree and five years teaching experience preferred
Demonstrated commitment to teaching and learning in a progressive, dynamic school environment
Ability to work in a collegial and highly collaborative environment
A growth mindset, active sense of humor, warm personality, and excellent organizational and communication skills
Background in music and art education preferred
