The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting all development initiatives with a special focus on fundraising projects and events that support Atlanta International School’s annual giving priorities. The coordinator will work closely with the Director of Annual Giving and Stewardship to assist in the implementation and execution of the Eagles Fund (the annual fund), Spring Benefit (500-person gala with live and silent auction), and other cultivation events (including Back to School picnic, new parent dinners, Grandparents Day, and leadership giving events).
As an ambassador for AIS, the Development Coordinator will work with her/his colleagues across the school community to identify, cultivate and steward relationships with students, current parents, alumni, parents of alumni and other benefactors. The coordinator will foster these relationships through personal communication, timely outreach, and excellent volunteer coordination.

At the direction of the Director of Annual Giving, outline the logistics for the Spring Benefit gala from fall launch to event closeout in late spring
Support Spring Benefit volunteer chairs and the committee in effectively managing all aspects of the auctions and event to include:
Solicitation of event sponsorship
Solicitation of silent and live auction items
Sales of event tickets
Managing event marketing including a volunteer newsletter
Executing a plan for décor and catering as outlined by the committee
Leading all logistics in a confident and thoughtful manner on the day of the Spring Benefit
In conjunction with the Development team, play an active role in AIS’s signature events as needed to include supporting volunteer engagement, event logistics, and attend and participate as needed to meet the staffing demands during these events
Coordinate with guidance from the Director of Annual Giving all phonathons to solicit gifts for the Eagles Fund
Assist the Director of Annual Giving with correspondence and management of all Eagle’s Fund volunteers
Assist the Director of Annual Giving with the implementation of the Georgia Goal, the state’s financial aid tax credit program, from solicitation of the entire AIS community to acknowledging/thanking donors for their participation
Assist with all other duties as assigned
1- 2 years of fundraising experience with demonstrated success
Availability to work evenings and weekends
Experience in an independent or international school
Experience managing volunteers
Experience working with database systems similar to Raiser’s Edge/Blackbaud
Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Program
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrably strong organizational and planning skills
Keen awareness of and appreciation for flexibility in dealing with colleagues and volunteers
