The Young Alumni Coordinator is responsible for all communications and event planning for our young alumni who graduated with the class of 2000 or later. This part-time position works closely with the Alumni Relations Director and reports to the Director of Development.
In conjunction with staff, spearhead, plan and execute young alumni events throughout the year.
Work with Development and Alumni team to increase alumni attendance at events/ reunions and fundraising participation.
Develop an alumni giving program and increase donations, both in participation and in dollars. This includes writing special letters/email solicitations directly to the young alumni.
Work with faculty members and staff to identify upperclassmen who will serve as leaders and class agents going forward. Where possible, develop programs with current students to help them stay connected as alumni.
Find “lost” young alumni and maintain their Raiser’s Edge computer records.
Strengthen alumni class agent system.
Use social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to keep alumni aware of Harvey happenings.
Take pictures, identify alumni and organize photos for use in relevant communications.
Assist Alumni Relations Director when needed.
Attend school events when appropriate.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
Self-starter who can work creatively and independently
Experience and ease with social media and computer programs.
Ability to quickly learn Harvey’s fundraising software.
Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, admin and parents.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Positive attitude, flexible approach, and a sense of humor.
Flexibility to work some nights and weekends
