Gould Academy, an independent boarding school of 250 boys and girls, grades 9-PG, in Bethel, Maine, seeks a qualified, passionate, and innovative Mathematics teacher, beginning fall 2018.
Strong candidates will have expertise with teaching the full range of a high school mathematics curriculum.
Teach four sections of high school mathematics.
Collaborate with colleagues regarding math and general educational issues.
Supervise two co-curricular sports or activities.
Assume advisory role for up to eight students.
Fulfill community life duties, to include evening and weekend coverage.
Committed to math education and working with adolescent students and faculty in a boarding school environment.
Personal warmth and a collaborative leadership style.
Skilled at establishing and maintaining positive, professional relationships.
Significant prior relevant experience as a math educator.
Undergraduate degree required; relevant advanced degrees preferred though experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.
