Position Description: As a member of The Churchill School and Center’s Leadership Team, the Director of Development reports directly to the Head of School. The Director manages the Development Office and is responsible for leading, planning, and executing Churchill’s fundraising and engagement programs, and plays an important role in frontline fundraising. The Director will establish growth-oriented goals and implement strategic development plans to ensure the successful achievement of both department-wide and individual goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the creation of overall development plan that is in sync with goals of the School
Develop and coordinate Churchill’s major gifts program
Develop and coordinate Churchill’s planned giving program
Develop and coordinate Churchill’s stewardship program
Manage all strategies and activities for donor cultivation, solicitation, and relations
Foster growth and participation in Churchill’s alumni in all aspects of the School’s program
Serve as administrative support to the Board’s Development Committee
Manage Development Office staff (group and individual goals, and evaluation system)
Serve as the liaison between the School and the Parents Association
Oversee the processing of all gift income and maintaining accurate records
Supervise all event planning, including annual benefit
Develop and maintain active, positive and productive relationships with members of the Churchill Community
Create an annual development plan
Collaborate with the Admissions and Communications Office on messaging
