Gulliver Preparatory School’s Miller Drive Campus seeks a high school College Test Preparation Teacher for the 2018-2019 academic year. This academic course prepares juniors for the standardized tests they take their junior and senior years. Experience teaching SAT and/or ACT Prep courses is required, as this course covers the reading, writing, science, and math tests of the Redesigned SAT and ACT. Knowledge of test content and strategies, as well as an ability to administer and interpret practice tests is important. The candidate will develop student understanding of the role testing plays in the college application process.

The candidate should be able to use a variety of instructional practices, approaches, methods and curriculum materials to support reading, writing, and math instruction. An understanding of learning styles and differentiated instruction is essential in order to enhance student metacognition. The candidate will also collaborate with the guidance department in order to provide students with a more comprehensive understanding of the varied processes involved in planning and preparing for college.
