This position provides high-level administrative support to the Middle School Director and the Office of Middle School. Routine duties include varied administrative tasks such as field incoming calls, review correspondence, update and maintain records, including calendar and schedules, prepare agendas, take minutes, compose confidential correspondence, and organize complex documents. Special projects may include compiling data and performing analyses. Basic duties include copying, filing, faxing and occasionally, preparation, collection and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail. This position works closely with other support staff in the preparation and distribution of all school material as well as regular and ongoing interface with students, parents, faculty and staff.

Specific Responsibilities to the Middle School and the Middle School Director:
Administration of advisor/advisee lists
Administration of class lists
Daily student attendance
Academic Achievement Award letters and certificates
Coordination of end-of-year Recognition Ceremony
Organization of at-home work for ill students
Organization of middle school class trips
Oversight of conduct infractions
Preparation of probation letters
Preparation of substitute teacher payment forms
Preparation of credit card reports
Assistance with quarter/semester grades
Serves as source of information for students and families
Telephone calls to parents
General School Responsibilities:
Updates and maintains Student Handbook of Expectations
Assists with coordination of practical application of emergency preparedness plan and drills
Posts submissions to the Marlborough This Week Bulletin
Oversees program IPcelerate bells for regular and special schedules
Collect and review immunization records, medical and other school forms
General Support Staff Responsibilities:
This position provides community support periodically in reception, incoming/outgoing mail collection, distribution, sorting and processing and assistance with ‘All School’ communications as required
Ability to communicate frequently and clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of and/or ability to learn and use job related computer programs, such as our Learning Management System (My Marlborough), Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Magnus Health Software, e-mail, and other school related programs
Sound judgment and discretion relating to confidential projects, School or student matters, including effective communication regarding such matters to the appropriate individuals.
Highly organized with an ability to work successfully either independently or in a group setting.
Strong customer-service orientation and overall team player.
College Degree or Equivalent work experience
Valid California Driver’s License including good driving record.
Minimum of 3-5 years professional administrative support
