The Waldorf School of Lexington (WSL) seeks a part-time Development Associate, reporting to the Development Director. The Associate will be responsible for administrative operations, including gift processing, donor acknowledgment, and primary oversight of the Raiser’s Edge database. The Associate will also support special events and alumni relations.
This non-benefited position is part-time from late August through June. A limited number of hours will be required in July (these may be flexibly scheduled). The position is an average of 20 hours per week, with additional hours required from January–April. Occasional evening and weekend work is required for special events. Pay scale $20–$25 per hour depending on experience.
B.A. plus 1–3 years of direct or related experience
Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Office
Experience working at a school or nonprofit preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to establish priorities, demonstrate initiative, and achieve stated goals
High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills
Ability to work comfortably in a collaborative environment with a variety of people, including teachers, volunteers, and alumni
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.
