Upland Country Day School in Kennett Square, PA, is currently in search of a Director of Auxiliary Programs. This position is responsible for overseeing the coordination and administration of all aspects of Upland’s summer programs, After School Care programs, facility rentals, and public/private partnerships, including planning, budgeting, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.
Responsibilities of the Director of Auxiliary Programs include:
Developing, implementing, overseeing, and growing sustainable, revenue-generating programs on Upland’s campus during the school year and in the summer
Developing and managing the Auxiliary Programs budget
Attaining program revenue and net profit expectations
Administering program registration and working with the business office to ensure timely and accurate billing
Hiring and supervising Auxiliary Programs personnel while working with the business office regarding the administration of payroll, background clearances, etc.
Managing and developing summer programs and ensuring compliance with governing authorities
Managing and developing After School Care and vacation programs
Identifying and coordinating rental opportunities for school facilities and grounds
Assessing the effectiveness of existing programs and the viability of new ventures
Maintaining strong working relationships with other key administrators, including the Directors of Facilities, Athletics, Admissions, and Marketing
Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five to seven years of administrative leadership experience in marketing and program development. He/she must have excellent written and oral communication skills, along with exceptional organizational skills.
The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial approach and enthusiasm for creating and guiding startup ventures, and a commitment to maintaining and growing the School’s existing programs.
