Our Lady of Good Counsel High School is in search of a skilled and experienced professional to join the Admissions team as the Assistant Director of Admissions. This is a full-time, 12-month position and reports to the Director of Admissions. The role requires some evening and weekend hours.
The Assistant Director of Admissions will help oversee the admissions of new students to the school, including systematic and efficient handling of applicants, communication with candidates and their parents, interviews with candidates, and communicating final decisions to appropriate individuals.
Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Speak publicly to individuals, groups on and off campus.
Visit Catholic elementary schools to speak to 7th and 8th grade students.
Provide outstanding customer service to prospective and current school families, in person on the telephone, and via digital communication.
Perform data entry into admissions database, including entry of new student intakes, tracking of application documents, enrollment documents, etc.
Learn about Good Counsel and answers to frequently asked questions to better serve prospective families making inquiries.
Be able to lead a campus tour for a prospective students and families.
Become familiar with schools in the Archdiocese of Washington.
Update all printed material.
Oversee management of the “Shadow Program” for prospective new students.
Coordinate with Parents’ Association the dates of Parent Tours and secure parent hosts. Set up “Pick a Time” with dates and spaces.
Coordinate Open House with faculty and staff, Parents’ Association and Sage Dining.
Coordinate student interviews with faculty and staff. Set up Pick a Time dates and spaces for staff and a separate “Pick a Time” for applicants.
Evaluate and execute admission decisions on applicant files.
Generate all admission letters and digital communications as directed, stuff and mail bulk mailings.
Responsible for the internal department management of admissions print publications, advertising, and marketing efforts in coordination with the director of marketing.
Develop and monitor statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies, yield management, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
Participate in enrollment management committee meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
In addition to helping run the admission office, he or she will help create admissions and marketing materials and publications.
