Title:Senior Leadership Gift Officer, Global Resources

POSITION SUMMARY: Implements a comprehensive principal gift giving program, including marketing, solicitation and stewardship of philanthropic commitments for individuals and families. Strategically upholds priorities, tracks progress, mentors staff and manages resources, while cultivating, soliciting and stewarding their own pool of prospects.
Personally manage, cultivate, solicit and steward an active pool of 100-150 international and domestic major gift prospects. Utilize tools provided for the tracking of donor relationships through meetings, site visits, special events, donor gifts, and gift acknowledgements.
Plan, execute, manage and lead the international giving program. Responsible for crafting a sophisticated, multi-year, international fundraising and engagement strategy that will support sustainable, long-term growth in financial giving and strong relationships with donors. Support MPS’ growing global philanthropic efforts through the management of the International Advisory Council.
Meet annually stated endowment, capital and Annual Fund goals for international prospects, and work to help overall A&D office meet its goals in all areas. Meet annual visit, proposal, dollar and engagement goals.
In partnership with the Director of the Institute for Global Education, oversee our current and emerging international partnerships with schools and corporations.
Work with relevant MPS leaders who execute the school’s global education aspirations in each of the following areas: Admissions, Academic Affairs, Equity and Inclusion, International Advisory Committee, Parent Leadership Committee.
Interact with the Porter’s community with a broad understanding of the goals and objectives of the school and the office. Foster and maintain productive relationships with other offices on campus with an active role in school life.
A minimum of eight years of professional fundraising experience, preferably at a management level.
Demonstrated cultural competency, ability to work with diverse populations, commitment to equity and inclusion.
Adherence to highest ethical standards.
Demonstrated ability to personally cultivate, solicit and secure five, six and seven-figure gifts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with a team, even when traveling and working remotely. Open and collaborative management style with ability to lead and inspire.
Ability to interact with all levels of the school community: Head, senior administrators, faculty, staff, trustees, alumnae, volunteers and friends of the school.
Strategic thinker and problem solver.
Flexibility and appreciation of humor
A strong commitment to education generally and boarding schools specifically.
Boarding school graduate or parent is a plus.
Ability and willingness to travel.
Other duties as assigned.
Sitting at a desk and using a computer much of the time.
At events, time spent standing/walking.
Domestic and International travel required.
