Norfolk Collegiate is seeking an experienced middle school counselor who will offer a comprehensive program to foster student well-being and success. The ideal candidate will have experience in directing an independent school program and meeting the social-emotional needs of students, addressing academic concerns, and offering support services to students and families. A member of the middle school administrative team, this position reports to the head of the middle s Candidates must demonstrate excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Preferred candidates will have at least three years of school counseling experience in an independent school and hold advanced degrees in school counseling from a CACREP-certified program. Candidates with degrees in social work and/or clinical psychology will also be considered.
