JOB SUMMARY: We are growing and searching for innovative educators who are eager to be challenged! Kingsley is seeking a Lower Elementary Associate and Assistant Teacher to join our Lower Elementary (grades 1-3) program. This is an exciting opportunity to teach at one of Boston’s premier independent schools. We are seeking world-class educators (either Montessori trained or willing to be trained) who are looking to bring innovation into the classroom and who desire to work with proven Montessori pedagogy. At Kingsley, your educational passion and creativity can have a potential impact on the design of our progressive, integrated curriculum. As an Associate and Assistant Teacher, you will work alongside the Co-Lead Teachers to best facilitate all aspects of the students’ classroom experience. The successful candidate will attend regular meetings, observe, advise, transition students to and from Co-Curricular classes, and help maintain classroom schedules, records, student needs, and the classroom environment. Associate and Assistant Teachers report to the Directors of Education at Kingsley.

QUALIFICATIONS OF PREFERRED CANDIDATES:
-BA/BS degree required and MA degree preferred
-Minimum of 3- 5 years teaching experience preferred
-AMS/AMI teaching credential and/or willingness for further training
-Understanding of and commitment to Montessori philosophy
-Ability to work collaboratively with faculty to enhance curriculum and community
-Commitment to professional development and best practices in education
-Education experience in a variety of instructional methods
-Understanding multi- age learning environments
-Commitment to meeting the needs of each child
