Salem Academy seeks an Associate Director of Admission & International Student Coordinator. Position is full time with benefits. Required skills include: strong computer skills, an engaging personality for working with people and answering phones, very strong organizational skills, and ease in learning new computer programs. Position is full-time, 12 months with benefits.
Tasks include but not limited to:
Working with the admissions team to develop strategies to increase enrollment
Creating a travel plan to visit schools, attend admissions events, and meet prospective families around the southeastern United States
Assist in planning and implementing prospective student visitation programs
Coordinating student volunteer program, Honor Guides, by training, assigning tour guides, and planning monthly meetings.
Taking prospective students on tour and discussing Salem with prospective families
Serving on the Admissions Committee and helping to evaluate admissions files
Being an active member of the Salem Academy community
Serving as an Advisor to current students
Maintaining records for compliance in the SEVIS system for international students
Issuing I-20 documents for new international students
Some international travel where appropriate
Maintaining relationships with international consultants for recruitment purposes

About Salem Academy
A college preparatory boarding and day school for girls in grades 9-12. The oldest girls school in continuous operation, the Academy was founded in 1772 by early Moravian settlers who held the view that girls deserved an education comparable to that afforded boys. Salem Academy shares a 64-acre campus with Salem College and is located in the Metropolitan area of Winston-Salem, NC (population 187,500).
