The Office of Alumni and Development is a six-person department with a mission to enhance the student experience by 1) acting as an ambassador of the school’s mission, 2) growing loyalty among its constituents, 3) building trust and confidence within the Perkiomen community, 4) and raising funds toward the school’s top priorities, while maintaining professional and personal integrity in all relationships. The individual selected will report to the Director of Development and should have superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to various writing styles; strong organizational abilities; ability to extract meaningful content and stories for acknowledgment letters and other office communications; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; and undertake projects independently.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and write Report to Donors
Manage and write monthly Alumni e-Newsletter, and quarterly Insiders Newsletter
Manage and write planned giving appeals including echo emails
Manage “giving” web pages
Provide campaign support for all written communications
Write acknowledgment template and customized letters
Prepare gift and pledge agreements
Additional writing, editing, and proofreading tasks as requested
Support Gift Officers
Develop and implement broad-based stewardship policies for specific groups
Provide support for personalized stewardship of major gifts
Research pre-existing current use and endowed funds to ensure their integrity, proper use, and consistency between development, admission, academic and business offices
Assist with department-related events
Support student life on campus
Provide stewardship visits and touches to small pool of donors
The Perkiomen School conducts pre-employment screening for all positions which includes a criminal background check, verification of work history, academic credentials, licenses, and certifications.
