Philadelphia-Based Education Think Tank seeks a motivated Executive Assistant/Development Associate to be part of a startup focused in areas of School Curriculum Design, Educational Research and Assessment, Community Activation, and The Revolution School; a progressive Philadelphia High School.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND GOALS:
The Executive Assistant/Development Associate enhances the effectiveness of the Think Tank and School Development Team by providing information management support to daily activities and long-term projects. The EA/DA provides a consistent, reliable single contact for a wide variety of constituencies including leadership, employees, volunteer committee members, and community partners involved in the work of The Revolution Project.
Executive Assistant Responsibilities
Conserve leadership’s time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications.
Maintain leadership appointment schedules by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
Complete projects by assigning work to individuals; following up on results.
Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing information.
Maintain office inventory and media materials by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; evaluating new office products; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Development Associate Responsibilities
Understand and uphold the standard operating procedures put forth for Donor Perfect.
Work in collaboration to ensure accurate data management, record keeping, and donor acknowledgment within Donor Perfect.
Work with community stakeholders to ensure existing neighborhoods are celebrated and elevated, and offering our partners a hand-in-hand, relationship-first approach.
Complete donor acknowledgements and gift receipt notifications as needed.
Work in partnership with Think Tank administrators and outside consultants on development planning as needed.
Qualifications and/or Experience
Roughly 3-5 years experience working as an office coordinator and/or development associate desired
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Experience with CRM database(s) preferred
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Organizational and time management skills
Resource management, budgeting, scheduling, computer literacy (including Google Suite)
