The Advancement Associate works closely with the Chief Advancement Officer to coordinate and support the activities of the Advancement Office. S/he organizes communications and prospect activities with the CAO and the Head of School, processes gifts, supports the Committee on Trustees, administers prospect research, and provides event support.
Reports to: Chief Advancement Officer
Provides CAO support and office administration.
Conducts prospect research and prepares briefings on prospective donors.
Liaises with Admissions as part of new parent research.
Conducts research on foundations; coordinates with gift officers to maintain foundation relationships, and writes required proposals and reports.
Performs gift processing and generates stewardship letters.
Supports Major Gift prospect pipeline and moves management systems, including filing call reports, tracking actions, and coordinating the portfolio process.
Manages proposals including generating gift illustrations and gift pyramids.
Other duties as assigned.

A Bachelor’s degree and the ability to utilize all Microsoft office programs are required.
2-3 years’ experience in non-profit administration with exposure to fundraising.
Task oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Understanding of major donor confidentiality.
Ability to be discreet with sensitive information and tasks.
Ability to manage projects for multiple fundraisers.
A thorough knowledge of Word, Excel and experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred.
