Our middle school science program includes three courses: life science (grade 6), physical science (grade 7), and environmental science (grade 8). Each member of the department teaches two preps and three classes.
This is an exciting time for Meadowbrook's science program. This fall, we moved into new science classrooms and opened an innovation center and makerspace which are used extensively by science classes. In addition, Meadowbrook is located on a beautiful 30-acre campus that serves as an outdoor classroom. We teach at least one inquiry-based lab per grade level collecting data outdoors.
Meadowbrook’s middle school faculty is a group of dynamic and motivated teachers who are passionate and intentional about teaching middle school students. Recognizing the importance of these formative years, Meadowbrook’s faculty are excited to engage fully in all aspects of educating young adolescents; helping students to discover their passions, become independent self-advocates, take charge of their own learning, and develop valuable skills related to leadership, responsibility, dedication, and citizenship. Meadowbrook encourages teacher leadership and seeks candidates who are committed to honing their craft and are lifelong learners.
The Meadowbrook School is a mission-driven school. We know, love, and challenge every child.
