Menlo School is seeking an enthusiastic, full-time Middle School 6th grade Spanish Teacher for the 2018-2019 school year to join Menlo’s close-knit community of passionate educators and exceptional scholars.
We are looking for a strong candidate who will introduce students to a basic written and conversational vocabulary, grammar and language as well as provide learning experiences which help students to better understand the language, history and culture of Spain and Latin America. Menlo School uses a proficiency model of instruction providing a strong foundation in written and conversational Spanish through pragmatic use of the language. We look for teachers who:

invest in the life of the school by actively participating in Advocacy, clubs, electives and faculty committees,
are willing to collaborate on projects and skills with other grade-level teachers,
are willing to help develop an aligned 6-12 Spanish curriculum between the Middle and Upper School divisions

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Spanish; a master’s degree is preferred and middle school teaching experience. Additionally, preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate written and spoken proficiency in Spanish and English.
