Concord Academy, a coeducational independent boarding and day school of 395 students, grades 9 through 12, located in Concord, Massachusetts seeks an Assistant to the Admissions and Financial Aid Offices.
We seek a friendly individual to greet prospective students and their families and make them feel welcome when they call with inquiries or visit our campus. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management and the Director of Financial Aid, this position’s primary responsibilities will include welcoming admissions visitors at our front desk, admissions and financial aid data entry and database management, as well as general administrative support of admissions and financial aid counselors. This person is a key member of the admissions team who must be capable of maintaining both great discretion with sensitive materials and a professional and friendly demeanor in all circumstances. This is an academic year full-time position.

Responsibilities for this job include, but are not limited to, the following:
Greet and welcome all admissions visitors including set-up and clean-up of reception areas
Fast and accurate data entry of admissions inquiries
Provide support to office manager with all special projects, mailings, and scheduling as well as events including Open House and Revisit Days
Administrative support for admissions duties and projects, as needed, for all admissions counselors
Administrative support for financial aid duties and projects, for all financial aid counselors
Awareness of financial aid application process, including tracking and data entry of all Financial Aid (FA) application materials from our vendor School and Student Services (SSS)
Provide assistance in maintaining and managing the financial aid database, including creating, updating, and producing reports, letters and other regular communications
Work in conjunction with Finance Office in regard to FA contract process, including contract tracking, appeals and follow up
Maintain financial aid operations calendar, supporting the documenting of financial aid processes and procedures
Process incoming and outgoing mail daily
Coordinate all aspects of campus visits, including working with parent tour guides, booking appointments, producing a daily visit schedule and confirming appointments by mail, email and phone
Track application credentials
Bachelor Degree preferred;
Minimum 2-3 years of prior office experience;
Prior experience in a educational setting a plus.
The successful candidate will have data entry and, ideally, data management experience as well as office support experience including proficiency in Excel and Word, Google Docs, Sheets and Google email and calendar; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; strong grammar and proofreading skills; ability to work independently and with team members to reach admissions and financial aid goals; ability to work in a fast-paced and goal-oriented office; interest in and ability to develop strong proficiency with database systems.
