Friends Academy, an Independent Day School located in Locust Valley, New York on 65 expansive acres on the North Shore of Long Island is seeking a Director of Auxiliary Programs. The individual in this position is responsible for the creation and strategic leadership over all auxiliary programs, providing vision and coordination with school-wide initiatives. In collaboration with the Director of Summer Camp, the Director of Auxiliary Programs is responsible for the strategic planning of an expanded summer experience including administration, management, and supervision of programs and staff. The successful candidate will exude an entrepreneurial spirit, be resourceful, innovative, forward thinking and will demonstrate expertise in developing and marketing summer youth and afterschool programs.
Requirements: 3+ years of experience in managing summer programs and experience with afterschool programs; demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree preferred.
