Position Summary: The Development Assistant supports and facilitates fundraising initiatives for the Development Department and requires database management and Google Suite expertise. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: managing data integrity for a 12,000 plus constituent database using Blackbaud's Raiser’s Edge software, implementing gift and donor prospect stewardship, providing financial and statistical reporting, completing direct mail and electronic appeals and coordinating special event logistics.
Preserve data integrity and accuracy in Blackbaud's Raiser’s Edge system
Input data entry and generate reports to support solicitations, appeals, gift acknowledgements, and donor stewardship
Record gifts and pledges to prepare acknowledgements, call sheets, donor profiles, and data for annual report
Maintain monthly pledge reminder system that includes communicating with constituents on a regular basis
Manage all mailing logistics including list creation, scheduling and logistics for event invitations, solicitations and others as needed
Create financial reports to prepare for the school's audit and form 990 review
Coordinate logistics in preparation of special events
Assist with coordinating volunteers for special events and committees
Attend and participate in relevant school events, special events, and development related meetings
Communicate regularly with a broad constituent base to foster strong donor and prospect relationships
Contribute to written materials and web publications
Write acknowledgment and solicitation letters
Manage the development filing systems
Support the Alumni Director and Director of Development
Other duties as defined by the Director of Development
B.A. or equivalent experience
Development or administrative related experience
Computer experience using Google Suite and database software, Blackbaud's Raiser’s Edge experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule for special events during evenings and occasional weekends
Demonstrated ability to work independently with a commitment to collaborative efforts
Ability to juggle a variety of tasks and maintain confidentiality
