Our School Brownell Talbot, founded in 1863, is a Nebraska state-approved preschool through grade 12 school. General Position Description
A successful candidate for this position will:
Coordinate with teachers and substitutes to arrange coverage for teacher absences.
Check the Substitute Request Phone Line twice daily (6:00 am and 9:00 pm) to determine what coverage is needed.
Call corresponding substitutes to make arrangements for absent teachers.
Prepare class schedules, student lists, and lesson plans for substitutes.
Greet the substitutes daily, unlock classroom doors, provide keycards, name badges, and time sheets.
Arrange and document internal coverage for teachers as needed.
Coordinate with the Assistant Head of Academics, Dean of Students, and Front Desk regarding daily teacher absences.
Maintain daily/weekly/monthly documentation for all teacher absences, for both internal coverage and external coverage.
Coordinate with the payroll administrator on a monthly basis regarding teacher absences and substitute attendance.
Maintain substitute teacher personnel files.
Participate in new substitute teacher interviews and complete new hire paperwork.
Other duties as requested.

Working Conditions While performing the duties of this position an incumbent will be required to:
Reach with the hands and arms and use hands to type and manipulate a computer keyboard and mouse.
Converse in clear English both written and orally, over the phone and in person.
Work hours that vary and may include days, nights, and weekends.
