Frankel Jewish Academy, recently ranked as one of the Top 10 Best Private School’s in Michigan by k12niche.com, is currently seeking to hire a full-time English teacher. Applicants must be prepared to teach a variety of English courses, as we not only offer a challenging program of study but one that is wide-ranging as well. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic teacher who is willing to join our team as we seek to provide both traditional classroom experiences as well as to grow our offerings in project-based and authentic learning activities. This full-time teaching position starts with the 2018-2019 school year.
Prospective candidates should have:
A strong background in English with a deep understanding of the subject matter.
A valid Michigan secondary teaching certificate in Language Arts (BA certification).
Demonstrated skill in lesson and unit planning.
The ability to build positive relationships with young people.
A multifaceted approach to teaching.
Enthusiasm about continuing to learn and grow as a teacher.
The ability to uphold the professional standards of FJA.
The position will include teaching five classes.
