About Pine Crest School
Founded in 1934 by Dr. Mae McMillan, Pine Crest School has become a preeminent and nationally recognized college preparatory school. There are two PK-8 Campuses, one in Boca Raton and one in Fort Lauderdale, and a single Upper School Campus located in Fort Lauderdale. With approximately 2600 students on the two campuses, Pine Crest is the third largest independent school in the continental United States. Despite its current size there is a strong sense of community enthusiastically expressed by the many dedicated and talented teachers, coaches, students, parents, and alumni who clearly care deeply about this institution. One of the primary strengths of the school is the depth and breadth of the academic and co-curricular program, which offers over 30 AP courses, over 60 athletic teams, and unsurpassed fine arts facilities and opportunities, including the yearly performance of a full ballet and a full orchestra. The student body is composed of high achieving and motivated students invested in intellectual inquiry and willing to make a commitment to contribute respectfully and honorably to the life of the school community.
