The Director of Annual Giving will be responsible for designing and implementing all fundraising activities relating to the Annual Giving program, which raises $1 million annually. The position will develop a coordinated matrix of communication and solicitation strategies including email, direct mail, phone calls, personal visits, and volunteer engagement in order to meet annual giving goals. The Director of Annual Giving will possess strong management skills, a determined commitment to purpose, and a commitment to establishing genuine relationships with donors. The person in this role should be a hands-on fundraising professional who can identify, cultivate, and solicit gifts from a variety of individual donors successfully and creatively – and who enjoys the process.
Develop and execute an Annual Giving strategy to reach established financial objectives
Develop solicitation plans including phonathons, letters and mail, signage, e-communications and other creative solutions to maximize total annual donations for all constituent groups (parents, current and former trustees, faculty/staff, alumni, alumni parents, grandparents and friends)
Work with the Director of Development, Development Committee and Head of School to identify and solicit Major Donor prospects
Recruit, train, manage, and lead volunteers for all aspects of the Annual Giving program and events; manage Annual Giving Committee and work closely with Chair person; work closely with the Director of Development to support the Development Committee of the Board
Collaborate with the Communications Office, Development Team and appropriate vendors to create and prepare all Annual Giving solicitation, promotion and acknowledgement materials (Annual Report, letters, brochures, E-mail, magazine articles, website updates, pledge forms, postcards, social media posts etc.)
Oversee all Annual Giving gift records, postings and acknowledgements to ensure efficient reporting to volunteers and Annual Report accuracy
Work with database manager to create monthly giving reports for presentation at Board and Committee meetings
