The Communications & Creative Manager, an integral part of Lincoln School's Marketing & Communications team reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, will contribute to planning, creating, and implementing strategies to raise Lincoln's visibility, advance its brand, and articulate clear messaging to internal and external audiences. The primary objective of this position is to tell Lincoln's story in a way that resonates, with the overarching goal of fostering community engagement and increasing both the quantity and quality of applicants across divisions.
A wide variety of skills are necessary for this role including, but not limited to: graphic design, photography, writing, digital marketing, public relations, advertising, videography and video editing, strategy, and big picture creative thinking.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned communications and marketing professional with experience in the educational environment. As a part of a small (and busy) team, collaboration within the department and with other areas of the School is critical, including admission, advancement, athletics director and staff, senior leadership, division, directors, teachers, and students.
Designing in-house materials including event posters, invitations, digital assets, publications, and promotional items
Managing/contributing to Lincoln School's social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and staying in the forefront of platforms
Copy editing and proofreading official school communications
Writing 1-2 blog posts to The Green Light blog, everything from student profiles to event write-ups to original articles
Sending and writing official school emails to various audiences
Keeping the lincolnschool.org website up-to-date with new photographs and fresh content
Photographing and filming day-to-day school happenings, as well as special events, some outside of regular school hours
Creating short videos; editing videos in iMovie or equivalent software
Assisting with managing and coordinating events
Establishing and maintaining good relationships with third-party vendors
Be committed to all-girls education
Have excellent organizational skills and an eye for detail
Possess strong writing abilities, both long and short form
Love to work creatively and collaboratively
Actively contribute to and be involved with the greater Lincoln School community
Familiarity with Veracross, Google Suite, and Adobe Suite a plus
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of four years experience and demonstrated success in communications and marketing, preferably in an educational setting
Some evening and weekend work expected
