The Director of Development and The Montverde Fund provides leadership in all school advancement functions and oversees the Development staff. The Director will develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to increase the visibility and financial strength of Montverde Academy. They will work collaboratively to design and execute a thorough master plan that meets the fundraising and participation goals for The Montverde Fund. Additionally, in collaboration with Development staff, they will work to expand participation in our annual giving, capital campaigns, scholarships and endowment programs.
Report regularly to the Associate Head of School for Institutional Advancement.
Establish a sound relationship with the Dean of Admission to ensure cohesive branding and messaging
Maintain sound relationships with alumni, Booster Board, 1912 Society, parents, grandparents, friends of the Academy, Alumni Board, individual members of the Board of Trustees and other stakeholders to ensure the positive direction of advancement efforts.
Direct and Implement a comprehensive annual giving strategy that meets the goals of the Development Department. This may include, but is not limited to: Phone Calls; Direct Mail; Emails; Text Messages; social media; personal visitation, events and volunteer engagement.
Develop a pipeline of campaign prospects and donors through the identification, research, cultivation, and solicitation of annual donors while preparing them for campaign commitments.
Develop and manage timelines for various fundraising activities to ensure strategic plans and critical fundraising processes are carried out in a timely manner.
Prepare Reports with analyses that track annual giving revenue, expenses and activity.
Oversee budget for the development office
Manage and implement our Donor Stewardship program.
Implement a campaign that fosters a culture among parents, grandparents, faculty/staff, alumni and community partners that giving to The Montverde Fund is important to long-term success of Montverde Academy.
Collaborate with the Director of Communications to set and guide the strategy for communications, website, public relations messages and collateral to consistently articulate Montverde Academy’s mission, especially where advancement efforts are concerned.
Collaborate with the Director of Community Relations & Event Planning on events that will help ensure Montverde Academy meets or exceeds its fundraising goals.
Collaborate with the Director of Publications and Marketing on ensuring proper workflow of publication priorities across all divisions and departments, as well enforcement of the Academy’s marketing and branding guidelines.
Coordinate the Faculty/Staff annual giving campaign and Senior Class gift campaign
Produce an annual report in conjunction with the communication and publication teams
Oversee capital campaigns, scholarships and endowment programs.
Perform and submit annual development staff reviews
