The Cambridge School of Weston is seeking an experienced project manager to assist the Development Office. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Development Associate will support the creation and execution of mission-based, donor-centric appeals and recognition strategies distributed through a variety of channels including personal contacts, phone-a-thon, direct mail, social media and other correspondence.
The ideal candidate must be organized and detail-oriented, with demonstrated experience in the areas of fundraising. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in gift entry, strong writing skills, solicitation for annual fund and interest in the life of an independent progressive school. Additionally, this position requires the ability to effectively utilize several software platforms, the ability to manage multiple, yearlong fundraising projects and to work successfully with individuals who will be soliciting gifts on behalf of the school. The successful candidate will demonstrate adaptability, strong communication skills, initiative, energy, and an understanding of The Cambridge School of Weston community.
Specific responsibilities for this position include:
Collaborate with Marketing Office on social media, electronic and direct mail annual giving programs
Produce individualized development mailings including high-level solicitations, stewardship letters and executive briefings
Track a set of metric-based engagement strategies to achieve goals
Support the volunteer solicitor and engagement programs (40 volunteers)
Oversee the student phone-a-thon program (8-12 students)
Work with seniors students to implement a student philanthropy program including class gift campaign
Administrative support for donor cultivation and stewardship events
Produce event attendee follow-up communications including solicitations.
Support other fundraising programs and engagement events as needed
Fully participate in the life of the school
Skills and qualifications:
Proven expertise in fundraising
Experience producing print and electronic appeals
Proven planning and project management skills
Experience in volunteer management
Ability to move from task to task with ease and to manage multiple projects to deadline
Excellent memory and eye for details
An ability to work collaboratively with a fast paced development office
Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge database or transferable skills
Experience working with confidential materials
