The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation has an opportunity for an Educational Adviser with experience in college counseling to provide educational advising and robust college counseling for scholarship recipients who are exceptional students with financial need. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three years’ experience in counseling, college counseling, higher education admissions, or higher education student affairs, preferably with previous experience working in a high school or community-based organization.
Responsibilities include collaborating with other members of the College Advising & Transition Team to develop curriculum and resources to support the college process for high school students. Additionally, Advisers will manage a caseload of approximately 30-40 Young Scholars in grades 11 and 12, providing in-depth individualized college counseling in collaboration with each student’s primary educational adviser, school counselor, and family. The Educational Adviser will continue to support those scholars on her/his caseload through the first two years of college, ensuring a smooth transition and successful engagement in academic and extracurricular pursuits.
