Newark Academy has an opening for a SOFTBALL head coach for the 2018-2019 school year.
The successful applicant for these positions will have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, a minimum of three years coaching experience and passion for softball. Experience teaching or working in an educational setting is preferred but not required. This candidate should be an excellent communicator, energetic, with proven people and managerial skills who relishes the opportunity to work with a diverse group of young women in a situation where academics are the first priority. Experience in independent schools, or higher education will be looked upon favorably.
The successful candidate will report to the Athletic Director in managing the entire softball program, which includes upper and middle school teams.
This opening is currently for a part-time stipend position, with the possibility of future full-time employment depending on faculty and staff openings.
