POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for management of all aspects of the operation of the school store including: ordering, pricing and displaying merchandise, budget and inventory control, supervision of student accounts, formulation and implementation of store policies, training and supervision of staff, and overseeing shipping and receiving for the school. This is a full time, ten-month position.
Provides outstanding customer service to students, parents, faculty and staff.
Schedules and manages bookstore personnel and volunteers.
Responsible for the accounting of the bookstore sales and expenses. Completes daily deposits, reconciles monthly statements and prepares yearly budget.
Interacts with area bookstore personnel on coordinating policies and keeping current with local sales trends.
Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
Manages the used text book sale.
Supervises and staffs special events: Bazaar, etc.
Plans, executes, performs and reconciles the annual physical inventory. Runs and reviews monthly system inventories.
Manages, promotes and reconciles the online bookstore sales.
Works with the Student Billing Specialist to resolve any billing issues.
Assists with purchasing for athletics and other items for various departments.
Works with faculty to coordinate setup of the online book sales.
Interacts with Admission Office to supply information to incoming families regarding uniform and text book purchases.
