The Baldwin School is seeking a qualified candidate for a long-term substitute position as a Middle School Math Teacher. The estimated dates for this long-term substitute assignment will be October 29, 2018 through January 19, 2019.
This assignment will include teaching both Middle School Pre-Algebra and Algebra. The long-term substitute teacher will be expected to be on campus Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm, including resource periods as applicable. He or she must be available to students during planning periods, and will be expected to attend all relevant academic department and faculty meetings. Long term substitutes are expected to work collaboratively and productively with colleagues within the math department and the Middle School division.
Interested candidates should have a B.A./B.S. in a relevant subject area, Master's degree preferred, and at least 3 years of classroom teaching experience in mathematics, with a demonstrated knowledge of the subject. In addition to the ability to deliver course content effectively, the successful candidate will have experience with inspiring, engaging, and encouraging students in the study of mathematics. Experience using technology in the classroom is required.
